"...because, why not?"
As a kid, Jacqui was "the one running around the neighborhood barefoot skateboarding, biking, unicycling, dancing in the street, and putting on performances for the neighbors in my room or front yard!" These days, she's dancing, creating, teaching dance, catering, and teaching an after school technology & engineering program. Jacqui dances professionally with the Von Howard Project and Roschman Dance Company. Her choreography has been featured in France, Florida, North Carolina, and New York, and most recently in Asheville's Fringe Arts Festival and Glass Floor's Gallery Showcase in Black Mountain, NC. She tends to read science and psychology books to feed her interest in the brain and science, which feeds into her dance work! For her, dance is unique for its mind-body connection — giving humans a chance to connect on a non-judgmental, even playing field without a need for words.
